Yea, we will be in Austin in two weeks!!!

The youngest is still stateside.....but things are well with everyone.

 

Mizzou will be in Austin this weekend...maybe the Tigers can soften 'em up for OSU....

Looks like we will try to upgrade our rooms when we get there, since we already booked. I would hope it would be easy with 3 rooms, midweek check in and close to a holiday travel. Hopefully they are negotiable as well.

 

Good luck with securing an upgrade, Binny...I know some people, especially repeaters, who have had decent success with upgrade requests. But if there's one area of the Golden Parnassus that might not "shine" as much as the rest of the resort, it's the front desk. In my two or three enounters with the front desk staff when we stayed there last year, they seemed less than completely accommodating (they accommodated us, but grudgingly) and I've heard from others who have had issues with front desk employees as well. But aside from the front desk staff, we didn't enounter (nor have we heard about) bad service anywhere at GP. Have a great time!

 

We just got home today from GP what a great time we had. That place was crazy at night. Naked hot tub parties were unreal. We did not go to bed once before 4am. Thanks Jose!

Is it just me or does it seem by some of the posts lately that The Golden is getting a little more wild and risque? Just curious.

 

We are hoping it gets a little wilder. Last year except for the hot tub, we could not get much of a party going. This year, we are hoping.
