Hey Corona Couple...when will you be at the Golden Parnassus? There's a message thread on tripadvisor.com's Cancun Forum where you can find a list of late May/early June Golden Parnassus guests...go over there and list your dates and something about yourselves....

Is the Golden Parnassus right for you? Depends on what you're looking for. We've yet to stay there, but that situation will change in a couple of weeks, but from our understanding, the GP is right for people who:

- Want a mid-priced all-inclusive resort
- Are looking for someplace that's not too small, but not a "mega-resort" either (GP has just over 200 rooms)
- Want to stay someplace that reportedly has one of the best beaches in Cancun's Hotel Zone
- Prefer an "adults only" (no kids under 18) vacation
- Are looking for a romantic atmosphere
- Would like to stay someplace that stays up after 9 pm (read a little nightlife)
- Don't mind a degree of topless sunbathing around the pool and on the beach
- Enjoy meeting other people
- Don't mind the fact that the resort is showing its age
- Appreciate excellent customer service
- Like to have fun

You mentioned your age, but at places like the Golden Parnassus, age is irrelevant. You'll meet people of all ages, but you'll likely make friends with people in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond. I'm 51 and my wife is 49. A couple of years ago we vacationed at a similar resort in Jamaica and wound up making lasting friendships with several couples in their early-to-mid 30s. Anyway, I hope this information helps.

You might try going to www.tripadvisor.com and going to the Cancun forums there. You'll find a lot more information about GP in the forums as well as in the resort review section.

Didnt start packing yet............but I have the 'what I want to pack pile' started lol

 

10 days....you all will be just a little late.

 

If Edith is still there tell her that Roger and Carlos will be there on the 23rd of June. Last year on my birthday she kept trying to get me to do Tequila shots , but I cannot do them. They kill me. She finally got me to do Rainbow shots and I was hooked.

Thanks for the reply...I noticed that some pool activities included tequila volleyball. Is this the same type of tequila volleyball like Blue Bay Getway?

 

It is vollyball. You miss you drink. You screw up , you drink etc. At the end the loosers have to do something goofy. Like the kfc or the dolphin swim. Funny stuff.
