Golden Parnassus (Adults only) ***** AI

The hubby and I have been to this hotel three times in the last 14 months and plan on staying there again in June. The last time we were there, we upgraded to the 6th floor upon arrival (it's best to do it in person rather than through an agent - usually can get a better deal). Yes, the 6th floor has balconies. We really enjoyed the upgrade! Hope this helps in making your selection on where you will be staying. Most important thing is you're in Cancun getting a little R&R! Hope you have a great time!

 

Wow you guys are they experts then!! We will be there in June also....can't wait!!! Especially as I look outside at the never ending snow! We are staying a few days at Golden Parnassus then heading down to Playa to stay at the Sandos Playacar. We are so torn between Cancun and Playa we figured why settle for just one????

Excellent idea Corona Couple. Can't wait to get back down there ourselves. Look forward to checking out the brand new sister hotel Great Parnassus....but only to say hi to the entertainment staff and a few others that went over there from the GP. Can't take being around the kids for very long! lol

 

About the music. When I was there last June, they were playing all kinds of music. I love Jimmy Buffett so one night I went to the Beer Garden and asked if they would play my Buffett Cd, they put it in and I had a great time listening to Buffett and doing Rainbow shots that Edith the waitress brought to me. It was a great time.

 

I booked yesterday for June 23rd thru the 30th. Anybody else going to be there at that time?

June 12th for us!!! We booked the other day and ugraded to the Golden Club room. Anyone stay in one of these before? From what i've read they are on the top floor,,,just curious if there is a roof over the balcony? I love goin out in the morning with my coffee and my book. Until i have that coffee the mexican sun is a lil intense for me lol. And am hoping there was somewhat of a roof. Staying there no matter what...but was just curious if anyone else stayed in a Golden club and what they thought.

Yes, we stayed in the Golden rooms in Nov. We really enjoyed them, and upgraded when we arrived, and got a great deal. The shower is very nice....as well as the big jacuzzi tub. I don't believe there is a roof over your balcony though. No doubt about that sun. Some of the best tanning time is from 8am to 10am.

The rooms also have the small icebox with drinks. We bring our own red bulls and keep around 10 of them for the week in there for little pick me ups. You will love it! We will miss you by 2 days

Thought we read somewhere that they served Corona on tap. But just saw on TA that is was Dos Equis?
