Carlos has taken some time off (6 Months) then he will begin his new position at the new hotel Grand Parnassus. Rodrigo replaced Carlos, he wa pretty cool. Johnny and Helen were at GCPS also in May, but they will be joining Carlos when the new hotel opens.

My friend that is going to Golden Parnassus with me lives in Edmond but he works in Chandler.
Any tips about the hotel that I should know about?
We are planing on just hanging around the hotel most of the trip. I have to go to Margaritaville on Monday the 26th for my birthday, but the rest of the time we plan on Eating , Drinking and meeting people.
Is there one bar that we should hang out at in order to meet people?
I know at the BBG I talked to most of the people in the pool area.

I think you'll really enjoy the tiki bar out by the pool. It's pretty lively during the day and into the night until it closes around 2 or 3am. It's a pretty casual hotel. One restaurant does have a dress code, but the others are pretty laid back. Fonzie, Carlos and Jose at the tiki bar love baseball caps......like an OSU :) cap or dallas cowboys, etc..... One thing you'll find is that when they learn your name, they won't forget it, and they'll also remember what you like to drink. I know you'll have a lot of fun! The hubby and I went last OCtober and left the day before Wilma arrived and we were just there last month. Our next trip there, will be in November, and it can't get here soon enough!

What does your friend do that he has to commute to Chandler???

I am back and it was one of the best times I have ever had. The Golden Parnassus was great. As everyone has said, the staff is wonderful. They all mad us feel like long lost friends. Jose knew my name after the first night. Edith at the Beer Garden would come up to us every night and give us big hugs and always made sure we had Three Tequilas. One for each of us and one for herself. God it was great.
I recogmend that all the guys bring along at least one pair of long pants because the Sangri la Resturant was out of this world. From the cold appitizer to the dessert it was some of the best food I have ever had. Not putting down the other resturants because they were really good also.
Our room was so cold that we could have hung meat in it. That was just the way we like it. We did not ask for an Ocean view but got one anyway. It was the best.
Thank you Golden Parnassus. I will be visiting again.
