As to the format for entrance, Steve, I would just be curious as to what sort of price point you were considering in order to have the Gold (but I like the idea of Orange better for some reason, Ha) Member priviliges? I'd wager that even the high post count folks wouldn't mind a small kick-in to one of their more favorite time wasting activities.

Just an idea, but what about a $20 per year thing, but if your post count is at 1,000 or wherever, then it would drop to $5 per year, or whatever?

As to the "Badge" what about a little .gif that shows a cartoonish CCC wristband? It's exactly how we spot others we've not met yet at/in/around the Sexy Pool, so why not here to reinforce that concept?

I'm not married to the numbers, just thinking while typing, but I really do think this idea has good traction, as you can probably tell from the above. I'd say run a test, maybe, with an invite-only list of people to try it out, etc? Have Monique put together the list of people, it'll make everyone be really nice to her.

Not that everyone isn't, but every cute kitty deserves to be pet, right? *wink*

Steve suggested that people with 1000 post could get in for free. I suggested form of panel of trusted members to vote people in that would eliminate post whoring. What I was referring to as people posting nonsense just to get to 1000 posts. not only that I'm sure whoever was appointed to the voting board would feel pretty special.

 

Before we start creating a bunch of rules and appointing a board to select members for this (and create a bunch of work for steve in the process), maybe this should start off as something basic, such as if you have a thousand posts you are in. Because even though post whoring may be an issue, A Thousand pposts is still a helluva lot of post and time invested. Not to mention you want to have as many people involved as possible really

We don't post that much, But... Have been on here since 2003, As a senior member do we get Grandfathered in? Not many still here from that year.
