Interviewe was really nothing more than then looking at your passport, taking finger prints, pictures and couple questions, in and or in less than ten minutes. . Whole process from submitting info, to final approval less than 9 days, could nerve been faster but couldn't make it to the earliest available app because of work schedule
Not in Cancun but saves time even in small US airports. Theirs is called Programa Viajero Confiable but you better be flying to MX a lot. I haven't seen it in Cancun
Totally worth it if you travel often. TSA precheck is great for domestic travel, and coming back into the States they have way more kiosks than demand for them. (For now, anyway.)
My entire GEOS process took 2 business days. I filled out the web form Friday afternoon, provisional approval Monday morning, interview opening (Minneapolis) Tuesday 8am. By the time I got downtown after the interview my status had been updated to 5 year expiration final approval. I'd say it's totally worth it even for intermittent travelers. $20/year to bypass the worst of the security line hassles and the immigration line is nothing, IMO.
ok, we applied, paid. did interview, and got card in the mail, we are Official, but even better, after you are a GOES user. . . . you are allowed to apply for Mexico's version of GOES... which is about 1400 Pesos.... today I applied and paid, and scheduled appointment upon arrival of our next trip...so hopefully will be able to walk past ALL those people standing in Immigration line on a sat afternoon in Cancun or Cabo here is the link for more info Programa Viajero Confiable :: Home
I sign up TSA Pre-check on line. submitted the application on line and got an appointment within a week. 5 years for $85.00 (USD) . The interview are just the same questions U answer on the application . Only had to use my Passport for proof of citizenship. Took less than 30 minutes. (they take your fingerprints electronically) Used it the first time on my last trip . Went thru Chicago O Hare's TSA with no problem..asked me if I had anything in my pockets ... asked about phones ---the phone scare has just started-- walked thru the scan and was on my way...sweet... Now u can still be pulled out and check by random selection ... U should contact the airlines and give them your Pre-check number once approved so they will put this in their system and it will show Pre-check on your boarding pass ... I had to call several airlines but no problem getting it inputted...I also carry my acceptance letter with me just in case there is a problem when checking in with the airlines as a backup .... Hope this helps... well worth it for us...
