the deal is that Mark Cuban, owner of the Mavericks wants to buy the Cubs, or at least part ownership. He contacted A-Rod about possibly moving to Chicago and getting a partial stake in the team as part of his package. They will never let Cuban into MLB, so it's a non-issue.
Yep, thats what I heard. supposedly, A-Rod's agent was talking to potential buyers that were making the offer. The current ownership had nothing to do with it.
lol, well from what I hear, the next "owner" has been selected but nothing has been leaked as of yet. I am hoping its Mark Cuban!!! He was at the cubs game sitting in the bleachers a few weeks ago with the fans, it was sweet!!!
Supposedly it violates baseball rules if Boras is talking with anybody right now about A-Rod's contract. Then again, when has Boras ever followed the rules?
Well.....not quite how I wanted them to make the Playoffs, but The Yanks are in!!!!! It was an ugly first few months and just couldnt get it together early enough to catch the Sox. I am really interested in how the NL is going to pan out. Even the Rockies are in the race now! These Mets better get back into it!!!!!
