As of 08.00am Sunday morning it appears that about 40% of the beach that was re-instated in front of Sunset and Bay View has gone. There are some very large waves and a couple of hardy (mad?) folks out on boogie boards, but last night was probably an easier sleep than Friday.

Cancun Airport If some of you are watching for disruptions of air travel to Cancun, here's a website you might find helpful. http://www.cancun.bz/arrivals_departures.php Most noticeable on the cancellation board are flights of Air Trans, Jet Blue, and Air Canada.
When I awoke this am there was no birdsong at all. It was just quiet and gray. It's still drizzling, but the birds are back and are making a racket...tweeting back and forth with their bird news. Methinks the birds are telling me that this Ida chapter is closing.
