i have seen something like this also...my guess is that its sun block....it gets on my glasses and camera...like a foogy film...im going with sun block ...
Did the Cipro thing, it stopped the sickness but still felt no good. Still had a blast and will be back, hopefully not on my back
Thanks so much! That does help!! We're also going to go ahead and start taking some probiotics like one of the others suggested. I really hate that so many of you had a damper put on your vacation....gonna do everything possible to make sure we don't celebrate our 25th anniversary curled up on the bathroom floor! But no matter what, I'm determined to make the best of it & enjoy as much as possible!!!!
And some really good ones One really really bad day. two others were bad but bearable. TTR was nice and offered assistance, they rescheduled my couples massage , and drops of love thing. I still think they should pick up the tab for the 130$ others had to pay for shots. I had preplanned and brought my own cipro so didn't need the shot , but maybe I should of??
We were there from April 3rd till April 10th. Drank lots and ate lots but we did not notice anything until we arrived home on April 10th, My husband has been on the toilet non stop for 7 to 8 days straight since getting back. and one of our other friends has been the same was as well. Went to the ER and they didnt find anything but could be just travelers diarrhea so thought it was worth the mention.
Hi All... We were there from the 10th to 18th. Hit Lyle within 24hrs, took 2 or 3 days to run its course (no meds, other than Pepto & Immodium). Then Heather got it - same quick onset and other symptoms. When we left, Brewster & Kim (whom we spent a lot of time with) were still OK. They're still there, so if anyone knows how they are doing, we'd appreciate an update. Our vote - Norovirus. Quick onset, fast spreading, treatable with antibiotics (not viral), flu-like symptoms, typically hits enclosed places like hospitals, cruise ships, resorts. Can be spread by air, fluid or surface contact (door knobs, counter tops, bathrooms, you name it). Here's a pretty good summary: Noroviruses - Fact Sheet - Infectious Diseases - Public Health Agency of Canada Anyhow, hope all are doing well. We enjoyed meeting those that we did, and are sorry we missed meeting so many. There's always next time.... :daveandmo: Heather & Lyle
I emailed the resort informing them that there has been some sickness the last few weeks and told them that hopefully they take care of the problem before the epic group gets there....lol. Hopefully more of you email them that had problems with e dates you were there so they know there might be a problem
