I got the shot at 8am Monday and was in bed all day but I did get up on Tuesday and Wednesday and went to the pool and to dinner. I was just tired and nauseous. I felt 100% on Thursday but I never had a fever or chills. Sounds like she got it worse than me. But I can tell that my system is still fighting it a little. Hope she feels better soon!
We are with you steelersguy. This will be our first time to this resort and hearing about all these people getting sick is really making us nervous on our decision to go here.
I spent everyday, all day in the pool and never got sick. Was poolside every mornining well they cleaned it and they spent quite a bit of time scrubbing and vacuming. Some peoples white suiteskind got some yellowing so there is some chemical in there.
Just got back An hour ago 10 Pounds lighter Was sick for four days on and off really really sick for one of those days lying down on the bathroom floor curled up in a little ball in my own sweat Bring Cipro or there is a better one that will let you go in the sun and drink
There was a distinct lack of chlorine smell as you say . Makes you wonder, at night you can see how cloudy the water was with the underwater lights,
That is terrible. Was it made clear to the staff that there was a problem? I sound like a broken record, but there is NOTHING worse then being sick on a vacation you spent thousands of dollars to take... Hope you are feeling better! BTW: What is "the better one" you speak of?
Hi All, Really sorry to hear about everyone getting ill. That sucks. We were (or I should say I was worried, about that and bought a UV pen to swish around in our water to kill parasites for brushing teeth and making coffee in the room etc. we drank the bottled water, mixed drinks (only a few) and beer. Pretty much stuck with Diet coke and rum or beer something like that. We didn't eat off of the buffet. At lunch everyday at Margaretta's! They have the best burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries what-ever. Then a specialty restaurant at night. You need to remember the restaurant by the quiet pool between 10 am-12 noon is where you make your reservations everyday, and you need to make for however many days they will allow. Some of our cc friends would make reservations for 4 or 6 and then just let us know they had extra seats, we would already have a reservation and lot's of times we would see them at the same place we were at. Jim & Jackie were gracious enough to make a wonderful reservation for all of us our first night at the Italian rest. So we made several return visits to that one. The point being...don't do buffet stick to fresh fruit you can peal, restaurants, canned, bottled, and booze! Have a great time! Jo
Sorry to hear that Donald. Kilt nite when we talked with you b4 going to the Asian restaurant we were great felt good, looked forward to 1 more party nite. But half way thru dinner Maria got sick and we spent the rest of the time in our room.
