Congrats on the weight loss Corey and Lacey!! Getting healthier is definitely a mindset that you have to keep every day (while still allowing yourself a cheat here or there). I've actually lost about 25 lbs in the last 5 months and am TRYING like hell to get something resembling a six-pack before I get down there...was actually my New Year's resolution. I am getting close!! My wife just had a baby in November and she has already lost the majority of her baby weight. Now she is trying to get back to "college weight"....I really think she is going to do it. Once we get there, though...it's all about drinking and having fun.
Working out like mad! Well my wife and I joined a GYM in January and have been going (Religiously) - can I say that? We think we are looking fairly good... but hoping to get better for the trip! 26 days to go! AHHHHCant wait! Tom & Aggie
That's great , it's much more than a diet or a workout everyday isn't it ? That's what I notice. I'm down 18 lbs since Jan 1 and am really trying for that 6 pack but it won't be there... but I see where it's supposed to be so that's encouraging !! I feel great though and am not really worried about the 2 lbs anymore, I just keep working at it every day.
Still working at it but have been stuck for a few weeks......this week is take it to the max to drop as much weight as I can before the 29th. another 3 pounds would seriously make me happy. And with that I am off to work out.
My trips to TTR help motivate me to stay in shape. I have a place in a campground here where I keep my boat and there are a lot of big beer bellies guys and girls show all summer. It will be good to see some six packs and not the ones you drink. :ernaehrung005:
i think you are 100 percent correct on that one same with us each time i go i get closer to my goal of 190 (and t to 130) the last trip we had in may of 2009 i had worked my way down from 223 to 204 (same plan and T was at 153 and lost to 138) both of us kept ours down fairly well the past year but had put on a few so when i checked in on the scales in early march i was at 210 and i set up a plan (which started on march 22) to lose 15 lbs in 5 weeks - hit the scales at 197.2 this morning t started at 143 and is at 136 (her goal was to get to 135) going on these trips certainly keeps us motivated and working out rob
Damn...nice work Rob. I will have to see how much motivation I have to keep up the healthy living after TTR. I don't care if I have those six pack abs for only 2 days...I just want to say I had them and get a picture for proof...then its back to living hard!
Thats awesome guys. I always try to get in better shape for my trips but this year now that im back im trying to get into even better shape
Thanks, we just need to get remotivated again, since we originally thought we were going in May we were doing really well in the beginning, plus with kids and everything else going on its easy to get sidetracked but like you said, just have to keep that mindset. Not sure about a six pack for me, like beer too much, but some semblance of a flat belly will work for me! Good Luck and have fun!
you can do it one of the main reasons we go about every 6 months is to keep us motivated - it works well if we did not go to temptations we probably would not work out - ever!!! lol rob
