We got bumped on our 12th trip to the resort! One nite they set us up at the gp we never went though. We went down to the pool and jim offered to share his broom closet with us so kinda didnt get bumped after all. They did give us a good room upgrade and 2 free nites to use in one year.
Blue Bay is the old name of Temptation Resort. I have just returned from TTR and all the couples were already checked-into were moved Desire. You could count the couples on your fingers while the Singles cheap nasty 20-25 year singles had taken over the premises. Flight every day and night, guys getting evicted for being agressive to the ladies, etc....
I'd be ok getting bumped for a few days, if they were willing to pay for transport in between the two resorts and it meant an upgrade on a room.
Blue Bay is also the old name of Sea Adventure, the family resort. Sorry you had such a bad crowd, Fifi. Try April next year?
The resort was over-booked in February, and was offering some of the Premier members upgrades to Desire Pearl for a couple of nights. I have known guests that were bumped to Sea Adventure in the past, but have not seen this happen recently. Being bumped to the kiddie resort would suck. I am sure the resort provided transportation to Desire for those being bumped.
getting bumped to Desire would be awesome! getting bumped to a family resort would literally ruin our trip.
The fact remains that there isn't really too much anyone can do to avoid being bumped if they overbooked. Granted it sucks, but life gives you lemons, you've gotta make that into lemonade. Just my two cents.
