Last year we bought liquor at the airport when we arrived . Really no fireball in mexico guess I will bring it from home but it would really suck if the bottle breaks in my suitcase
A member of the Octoberbreaster group lives in Playa now. They took booze orders from everyone ahead of the trip and brought it to TTR. THey had Fireball when the got there, so you must be able to get it there now.
Getting really good alcohol in Cancun is NOT an issue at all! Your can get some of the best Tequila anywhere at the airport..........Walmart is another stop.........then there is a HUGE liquor store very close to Walmart. If you are insistent on bringing/consuming "candy" alcohol.................you might need to bring it from home! Fireball? What's next? Skittles Vodka? Relax you candy lovers! If it does it for you.......that's great!
I usually just get a bottle of patron and a bottle of Johnny walker black at the airport and share it with my family "aka Temptation guests " Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Landing from the US, you will see the Duty free store right near baggage claim. They will not have fireball at this duty free. This store has a good, but limited selection (the store is small). The other duty free when departing has lots more(still no fireball, but why would you want to take that home with you anyway). You can pack 3 liters of booze in your checked bag, and you don't have to claim anything. My wife brought bottles of Fireball, and I brought Jager and it was a non-issue. We did learn though that the Duty free in our Philly airport is open early, and has better prices then at home store. So our plan next trip is to just buy booze at the duty free in the morning before we depart. They put it in a sealed box, and then you just carry it into Cancun. Also good cause you don't have to worry about the weight or breakage in your checked bag.
Does anyone recall if they sell cigarettes at this smaller Duty Free near the baggage claim? Past experience tells me duty free smokes are cheaper than what we pay at home. so rather than pack them it would be easier to just buy a few cartons once we hit Cancun.
