I added the 2 that went to the charity box + 27 = 29 25 they paid + 4 = 29 not 30.....still missing a buck. Here it is again: 9 x 3 = 27 + 2 (charity) = 29 -25 = 4 Give me buck the extra buck and we'll call it good.
Mate, I hope you keep out of those casino's down there with mathematical equations like that       Ian
Ian You’re adding it up your own way, the whole thing is about making sense of the way the numbers have been put to you. We all know you’re right to add it up your way but a little more bewildering to add it up mine. If they all get a pound back, that means they’ve spent 27 pounds 3 x 9 = 27, 2 in the box makes 29. LOL Daz.
No couldn’t shake off the wife, may-be I’ll give her some money and send her shopping next time for a microwave. LOL Daz.
The £2 the salesman put in the charity box should be subtracted from the £27, not added. This gives £25 which is the correct amount of the bill, not £30. 3 x £9 = £27 - £2 = £25
+ the 3 they got back = 28 Now we're missing 2 bucks. After a couple of pages we will have no money left and no microwave.
