Last time we were at TTR we had the room right beside PattyOs it was nice that everything was close but if you wanted an early night it wasn't going to happen there. This time around we have requested a quiet room. We are in the same situation as you, we have to be at the airport for 4:15am it may be a long day for the first night there!
Orbitz gave us a great deal on a 27 hour 3-hop with a redeye to Miami and a 12 hour layover. It was almost $23 cheaper than the 5 hour flight. </SARCASM>
I still dont understand how flying in the opposite direction for an hour or two ,then changing planes ,, can be cheaper then the direct flight with the same airline.
I doubt many will beat us to bed. So I think we're going to try our luck with a room by Patty O's. I guess if we can't sleep it would be a perfect room to test the open door policy...lol
My brother paid almost $100 less than our 7.5 hour direct flight from Houston to Hawaii on Priceline a few years ago; took him 35 hours & a lost baggage, flying from Houston to Atlanta to Chicago to San Fran to Hawaii. Missed the cruise ship, so cost him $75 to puddle jump to Maui. But he did save over $20....
We leave on Sat (yay! Only 5 days) and we're seriously thinking about being in the middle of everything. We like to party and have fun and we tend to be the life of the party sometimes and being so far away from the action is not our style. We are selective swingers so having watchers is encouraged. We may chicken out on the room but we're going on a referral (from an awesome friend/member) and we'll request something in the 3000s.......then anything near Paty O's. But we MUST have good AC.......
Just give us a quiet room with a good AC! We're in the room less than 2 awake hrs a day.....and could care less what it looks out on!
Several speak of leaving the door open to encourage people to watch or join in on the fun . We have never done it, only hear about it on here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
