As some of you already know, I had a fairly serious health condition last week that culminated in spending 4 days at Galenia. I'm home now recovering and have to have a weeks bed rest. First I want to say thanks to those that emailed, called and visited - it really helped keep my spirits up, which at times were pretty low. To those that didnt know, then dont worry I tried to keep it pretty low key. Galenia really does receive my recommendation if any of you find yourself in a similar situation. The hospital was extremely clean, the equipment modern and the staff, from nurses to doctors, extremely professional, knowledgable and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable, have large flat screen TV with satellite and free broadband internet, and the food wasnt that bad either. Although I do wonder why they want to serve kids jelly for breakfast and dinner every day. It's not cheap, I got my bill and :blueshock: but healthcare is important and it's not something you try to save money on. I hope I never have to return, but if I did Galenia would be it.
Glad to hear you're home and on the mend, Steve. I was worried about you!! Like I said before, take it easy and listen to Jannet. She knows best.
Hi Steve make sure you take those Drs orders seriously and REST. Let us know if we can do anything. Love Tracey x
Steve - Good to hear that Galenia is a good choice. And I'm glad you are finally home. Let me know if you need anything. Hugs!
Hospital location Janie, The hospital is located on Tulum Avenue about a mile from Plaza Las Americas mall, on the way to the airport. (I'm horrible with judging distance so could be wrong, but it's not far from mall.) It is a white building of about 4 or 5 stories. Hopefully I will never need to see the inside. Susan
Glad you had comfy surroundings and good care and most certainly happy to hear that you are home and on the mend. Let us know if we can help!
