Sounds like a great camera. I have tested shock proof before but never done the freezeproof thing
Yeah the underwater camera will be great for when the guys have to give up the bottoms for a contest. LOL. OHHHH! But I bet that is not what you were thinking
lol Kathy, I can think of much better things to take underwater pictures of than guys....oh well never mind, I don't like the image I am getting now!!
I think I was one of the ones to "sell you " on that camera Rosa. I loved it that day. I know mine was a fluke but I am still ambivilant about it breaking on my first try using it snorkeling. I wish Canon would come out with a waterproof one. I would pay extra to have their name on it. I think Kathy would too! Have you looked into maybe an underwater houseing for the xti? Since you already have such a nice camera it may be worth the money if they sell one. Kathy if you havent had them developed yet (your underwaters) most places will put them on a CD when you make prints for like 2 bucks. It would save you the time of scanning them all. That is what I do whenever I use my Film SLR. You guys sure made up for not taking photos the whole trip by getting a TON that last day! You guys are total HAMS! I wish I would have spent some time with you all.
Thanks Angi ... and yes I want to check into underwater housing for my XTI .... that camera takes such awesome pictures and is really easy to use. I would love to just take that underwater with me .... but I would also like to get a little camera for taking pictures at the pool ... too scared to bring out the XTI if I am drinking too much ... don't want to mess it up or lose it. Love my Canons. I also have an old AV1 that I bought about 27 years ago that takes awesome pictures on film. Want to bring that one along too ... and this time I am going to remember my tripod.
Firstly, I want to say congrat to Kathy for getting an "A" for her diving certification. What a great trip report, and we are glad to meet you both. Great pictures and thanks for sharing. Soonn
Kathy...How did you get certifed down there..I was told that i would have to do it in the states when i got home. I was given a discout card for the PADI certification..hmmm...
