That's a good question... I couldn't tell you. They didn't card us when we went, but that doesn't mean anything. There is a new club that just opened the week we were in Cancun. I heard it was good, but we were too tired to go that night. I wish I could remember what it is called... Does anyone know the name of the club that opened in December?
I have only been to Senor Frogs (fun, but very small and more like a pub/restaurant with live music than a nightclub), Coco Bongo and The City. Hopefully someone else can chime in on some other clubs the resort goes to, but I have a sneaky feeling that the only club TTR's above 35 go to is Coco Bongo because is is a show, not a traditional teenyboppe nightclub. I wonder if that is the one that replaced Bulldogs? I seem to remember Steve saying that (I think) Bulldogs closed down a couple of months ago. Steve will help with this once he sees this post.
Are you talking about Polacco? I was going to avoid clubs this year since I'm bringing my fresh little one.... but if they allowed kids into Coco bongo even if its early evening just for the show i might think about it. Idk though. Might be too loud for his little ears! haha.
Yeah I think it is called Palazzo. I heard it was great, but it was only open for a week when I was there.
Yes it's Palazzo, replacing Bulldog. I haven't been but read that it's owned by the same people as The City. IMO, you could skip unless you want to see a specific DJ or really like the warehouse club scene. My favorite current clubs in Cancun are Daddy O's (rotating dancefloor since 2010) and Mandela. Both are not too big, have great music and a great atmosphere. Coco Bongo is definitely great if you've never been (must see) or only go to Cancun once per year. I wish Daddy Rock was still around as it had a great mix of dance and rock/party tunes.
I'd recommend jumping on a ferry and going to Isla... Grab a cab and spend the afternoon/evening at Soggy Paseo's bar its a EXPERIENCE!!Isla Mujeres, MX
Thats a Pic of the remodelled Bulldog called now Palazzo. My personal recomodations for fun stuff out of the resort would be: - Charter a Yacht / Catamaran for your own personal cruise to Isla Mujeres. - Go there by ferry, rent a golf cart, drive over the island, stop where ever you want to. - Dolphin Swim - Xel-Ha or Xcaret
This was a few years ago but I loved doing the speed boat tour through the lagoon and then snorkeling but the snorkeling is sort of lame as they bring so many people out there, the coral is dead but the speedboats. very cool.
Cozumel We always go over to Cozumel and rent scooters and ride out to Rastas on the point. The scooters are fun. Rastas has good drinks and food. The view out on the point is wonderful.
