    Yup, but I personally believe that the odds of surviving 14 nights at TTR are slim for all but the most-practiced livers, so I deliberately left out the 14-night option so as not to send innocent newbies down the path to certain self-annihilation. :D

    Here is the copies of the emails back and forth with F&S.

    To whom it may concern,

    I am writing in utter disgust due to the fact that I had made a reservation through your company, my card was charged and I have no confirmation of my stay through the resort. All the while, your company has made NO ATTEMPT to make me aware my reservation was placed "on hold". If it was on hold, that states that there would be an opportunity that I could still be able to get a confirmation. That was not the fact though when I called tonight, on 11/19/12.

    The customer service rep that took my call assured me that it was because the rep that took my call before, when I made the reservation, "offered me" and "booked me" under an "expired promotion". I was actually "offered" the deal through your web site, under a 24hr promotion and I booked when the clock/countdown said 5 hours left. I had booked on November 11th getting a confirmation number of Receipt Confirmation 0811101 and my card was charged on November 12th in the amount of $814.28. Also according to the rep your promo had expired on the November 15th. How is that even possible if it was a 24hour promotion? I had instructed the rep I spoke with tonight to NOT reimburse my card before I have contact and discuss things with the manager.

    The special I reserved under is no longer available, and due to the fact that I did everything according to the terms and agreements, you charged me for goods I would have never received and made no attempt to contact me about the matter. This is the reason I would like to request getting the contact name and information for the uppermost manager or the vice president in charge of sales. Further more I would like to request that they contact me withing the next 24 hours before I contact the BBB and the US attorney general about the matter. I believe they would consider this false advertisement and it could also be looked at as fraud.

    We have received your request to cancel your vacation, please be assured your credit card if charged will be refunded promptly and it could take 14 to 20 business days to reflect on your bank statement.     I have made no such request to cancel my vacation!!! I have made it clear that I DO NOT want reimbursement. I want you to honor the deal that was agreed, signed and paid for upon the time of purchase!

    I REPEAT, DO NOT CANCEL MY VACATION AND/OR REFUND MY MONEY UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!! I WANT TO SPEAK WITH YOUR VP OF SALES AND MARKETING ASAP!!




    -I will be now contacting people for sure of this matter. As for our vacation... my hope of making it cheap will disappear into a cloud of smoke! I would much rather pay double the cost and make sure that EVERYTHING is in place and there is a nice room waiting for me at TTR rather than having to deal with sketchy companies trying to screw people over on their hard earned money and their vacation time well earned.

    For those of you that have booked for the time in and around March-April I would suggest just going with what you know is solid for you in the past. You have earned your vacation, don't let someone take that from you!

    I'm hanging on to the early bird gets the worm. Find out tomorrow...If at the worst I get a refund I didn't really lose anything to begin with so long as it is straightened out before I show up.........As with some of the above we are not going to let this stress us out, everyone new it was a gamble from the get go at that price........

    RIP OFF!

    If you booked with them--even if you received a confirmation and the resort has your name--CANCEL NOW!

    My credit card was charged Sept. 26 by fun and sun. I called TTR /sept, 27, and they had my reservation. I also received a confirmation email from Fun and Sun on Oct. 1 with a 6-digit "hotel confirmation number," so I thought all was fine.

    But after reading this, I called TTR this morning, and, yes, they have a room "reserved" for us on the right dates; however, the room isn't "confirmed" because fun and sun never paid them. Until they receive payment, the confirmation isn't official.

    I called Fun and Sun, and they gave me the same line they gave others--they never paid TTR, and they can only get me in at a different resort, or need $199 a night because they "no longer have a contract with TTR."

    I eventually made my way to a "Team Manager," Jude, who again said there's nothing they could do but refund. I made him send me an email confirming the full amount would be refunded before I would let him off the phone. To reach him, call 1-888-481-9660 and dial Alexa at extension 0009--she seems to be his assistant, and she wouldn't give me his direct extension.

    I did get the refund confirmation email, and will be checking in with my credit card company to make sure it goes through in the 48 hours.

    I called TTR, and told them Fun and Sun has no intention of honoring its obligation, and they had no idea about a contract with that company that had "expired."


    How do I contact the BBB and everyone else who needs to know about this scam???????

    Sorry to read of these problems.

    As I said back in September here their website uses deceptive and misleading sales tactics. That would be enough to put me off since if a company stoops to those levels then often it's not only the website that isn't to be trusted.

    It looks like everyone will get a refund one way or another, so no real harm done but imho don't stress yourselves out with protracted correspondence and lawsuits. It's not worth the hassle.

    Just spoke with them and they told me that all reservations even confirmed ones have been cancelled and they are notifiying people now
    who know what to believe i received my refund notice and will forward it to my credit card company to ensure my refund is credited
    they said if i wanted another resort i can have 150 dollar credit i of course said NO
    do not want the risk of getting to desitination and not having a reservation
    live and learn
    hopefully all of you that have everything confirmed and paid is on the up and up
