Just was informed hey tcannot honor said will have to go to different hotel said no want refund they said someone would call in a few minutes have not heard yet so I called and filed claim with credit card company to get refund and booked with resort for the days i needed what a mess i guess it was just what it was not a "Good Deal" good luck to everyone else with this

It was @199 for the 31 n 1st. But said it was confirmed but no number was sent so I called several times said it was coming. Then today they said. Sorry. Can't do. We can't honor bookings at Temptations. Have to go elsewhere. I said no. I am still waiting for call back. So I called credit card company to start my refund What a mess. But was able to book still the dates. Cost a little more but still have my trip.

 

Is this the Temptations Resort website that you are talking about. Sorry I have only been half following along if it was already mentioned. If so I would AVOID this site at all costs if you are trying to make your reservation online. The page to submit your credit card data does not use SSL which is in a direct violation of PCI standards.

If they can't comply with such a simple regulation in protecting your data, how would you think they store it if you give it to them over the phone?

This website is hosted by GoDaddy, it would take all of a $100/yr to get a certificate and enforce SSL on the site...

Pretty shady if you ask me...

Yes it is, and we were warned and not totally surprised.
TTR should be upset that they use their name and the web site resembles TTR's web site when in fact they are Fun and Sun Getaways from Florida.

 

Ugh. That is not a good sign. I think most of us were hoping you were really late. Oh well. I am going to wait a week and hope they get organized and then pursue a confirmation number for my reservation.

If I can't get it then skoosh orbitz or alpharooms here I come.

 

This situation really sucks. All of you who booked with Fun and Sun have my sincere sympathy. (((hugs)))

Last year, the price for charter trips in April dropped in the last week of January and first week of February, then went up and stayed up after that. I know that most of you are looking to book flight and room separately, but I'd thought I throw this out there in case it helps any of you who are looking to book a 7-day trip.
