Fun and sun getaways scam cancun

Well curiosity got the best of me and couldn't wait till Wednesday. Finally got through to Fun&Sun customer service a bit ago and they told me they were no longer affiliated with TTR and could not confirm my reservation. They would happily refund my money or switch me to a different adult resort in Cancun. Told them I needed to think about it for a few minutes. Called Original Resorts and they say we are still good, no moneys owed and gave me a new hotel confirmation number.

Now I don't know what the fk to think!

Guess I will try to find out at the counter tomorrow if it was really Original Resorts I was talking to before asking for a refund? Wow!

 

Called Sun & Fun this morning. Was told my reservation is good & waiting
for a confirmation # from TTR. Told me I should have that & hear back from
a CSR from Sun & Fun by the end of this week. I mentioned to them that
they are getting hammered on a few travel forums for cancelling bookings
and trying to rebook them at a higher price.
Unless I hear another verified horror story or two I'll wait it out a few weeks
before I battle a cancellation with them and refund, then rebook,, shit,, are
we having fun yet?

 

Geez...the stress we have to endure just to go on vaca and drink with a few friends! They wonder why we pick the places that "all the booze you can drink!"
On a serious note..hope you guys are okay upon check in. We'll keep our fingers crossed for you.

 

still waiting to hear from their CSR manager or the VP of sales/marketing. I also filed a letter of intent to contact the proper authorities about the fraudulent charges.

The thing I don't get is that I did get a res number from their company but TTR didn't have one for me on their records. It has been over a week now and still nothing but I was charged to my CC. All I want is them to honor the deal per the terms, nothing more. I just don't wanna show up at TTR and have them say "oh, sorry, we don't have a reservation for you".

 

Sucks, but I got a free vac from it.

I bought the 99 a night deal and was called today and told that the 99 promo had a certain allotment and that they over filled the allotment. They were nice but it sucks we planned everything to the tee.

Anyway, such as life. They offered a timeshare pkg all inclusive instead, or TTR for 199/night. We already made plans so I hate paying more but it is still a good deal. My sister bought it too and she opted for the timeshare bc she couldn't afford to pay more. I get it, they have only so many and when they sell out they sell out.

I asked if there was anything they could do for the "problem", free excursion or something. They do not deal with the excursions but gave me over to Marylee the supe and she gave me a free timeshare pkg of 3 nights in Cancun all inclusive. All in all NOT A BAD DEAL!!!

Here is how it was explained to me

You pay them,, you get a confirmation # of your payment to them F&S,

#2 they buy your room within 14 days (or whatever),, then ounce TTR gets their money from F&S,, then you will get a confirmation # from TTR.

If they can't get the room at the 99 rate they give you a refund

 

Post your dates Booking date / travel date ///ect....

Holiday scam

Dont know how they got away with it as its been on here for a while if its upsetting customers of Temptation resort, and they do nothing about it then theres a question to be asked i personally wouldnt let scammers use my companys name i booked through a well known travel agent £1900 for 2wks sad that ur work hard and pay these people ur money sadly lesson learnt never get anythink cheap without a reason :uk1:

 

People got on the alpha room deal with no problems except for signing a piece of paper.

 

Here we go, scrambling again. This sucks, why do people have to be treated like this. With todays technology, how do you "overbook". I don't get it. Sorry to hear this sweetchildomine and we hope things work out for you.

Called F&S and they said system was down. I will check back with them tomorrow. TTR still has us confirmed, I think. First number I called told me they were a booking agent and gave me a 15 digit number for TTR. I told them that was a strange number, they said it was for TTR. I said from the US and she said uh huh and hung up on me. Second number, booking agent again, goodbye. Third call told us they indeed were TTR and we are confirmed with same conffirm#. Does anyone have a phone number that they know is TTR reservation desk? Also, I can't find the TTR website that we used from the start and don't remember the address. Any help there would be greatly appreciated too.
