Do not worry you don't have to get a double bed room.. I have booked this category with Alpharooms twice so far.. And haven't had a double bed room yet.. I actually got the room I wanted both times.. No issues..

I've been in contact with IMS and got this today. Its really what I expected had happened.

I have blanked out the name to keep it anonymous as I am not sure of the privacy issues. Here is the correspondence back and forth. Yeah at least it is the same excuse now, but it seems but they are all over the board as to what they are willing to do about the matter. Judge for yourself.



Since the last posting of my run in's with them they have not responded other than to the BBB so I have also filed with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and also Federal Trade Commission.

I have apologized to several client's for the internal pricing issue, however Fun and Sun Getaways is not taking your money and not returning, nor did Fun and Sun Getaways make a fraudulent charge on your Credit Card. At the moment notice of price discrepancy Fun and Sun made several attempts to contact each individual try to accommodate to different hotel or alternate package, if Fun and Sun could not full-fill the obligation we had no choice but FULLY refund your Card. This is NOT something Fun and Sun intentionally did, it was a MISTAKE with internal pricing issue that should have been checked before it was advertised, however it was not. The IMPORTANT issue at hand is making sure that your card was FULLY refunded, because Fun and Sun Getaways could not full-fill your package. The price should have been $99.00 for additional Adult, not per night.

Waylon, I can't say thank you for the email. What I can tell you is I don't believe what Fun and Sun has done to countless individuals is right. I, and others, are getting in touch with as many people we can to change this outcome. We are seeking legal advise from both the state of Florida and Louisiana and many consumer protection groups. Fun and Sun offered a price and we feel that price should be honored by Fun and Sun. Many have changed plans already, therefore, the original price should be at a date of our choosing.

Just a FYI - it seems that they have been pulling the same stunt for a long time - I just looked back at a Web Archive snapshot of their site for 2011

and guess what they are offering a special "today only" price for a 5day/4night package at Temptation for $399(Price is per room, not per person)- which ---- wait for it ----- strangely works out to about $99 per night for the room.
I guess they have been having pricing mistakes for quite a few years.

 

They have to be kidding if they think people will accept their "free" trip offer. I was surprised I even got a response from IMS. By the way my credit card charges were credited back yesterday
