Mine came through on Monday (email that is) still awaiting the actual credit on my card too... Been reading this thread and there are a lot of I told you so or you should have posts... this is where I was coming from... we waited till folks had booked and received confirmations (OK, we didn't ask all the right questions on the confirmation that in addition to being booked that it had been pre-paid) and I remember seeing one post that people had checked in with no problems. So that part looked good. We used a CC so if it all went south we could get our money back that way.. and for the last questions as to why chance the problems, we head down for 15 nights. The best other price we saw at the time was $187/night or $88 a night more for 15 nights was $1,320 potential savings. That more than covers the airfare so it was worth taking the chance. So it didn't work. Damn... but for me I have 6 months to find a new rate. Yeah, I feel for the folks that found out the night before they left for the trip. But once I get my refund I'll be rebooking. I'm with Donald and a month at TTR on the CC is more than I want to see at any one time. Onward and upward! Jamie
new itinerary OK so with all of the massive confusion My credit card got back to me before the refund even got put in place from F&S to my credit company. The CC company sent me a leeter stating that they are accepting the fraudulent charge claim and will be crediting my card. So immediately went shopping... TravelRepublic.com yep, got our room and dates for $160/nt for 2ppl. I reserved with them at 9:17 am central time and was told to look for a response email with confirmation from them with a resort verification number within 12hrs. Yep! got the verification at 9:27am central time. Now that is how you treat your customers! I will be booking with them again for sure!
Agreed on Travel Republic. Think you beat ours by 20 a night. Our dates were locked due to our flights. Still about as good of deal as we have ever gotten..............
Hey Guys, I just checked out this site. For our 5 nights in April they want $132/night/couple - $664 complete. Sounds great, very close to the Alpharooms prices we have gotten in the past. Did you have any problems booking from the United States? I know some of the overseas sites do not allow booking from the US. This sounds like a great deal and may be a great alternate for those who took the Fun and Sun plunge. Thanks, Paul
What room class was that rate for or is this even a concern? It looked to me like this was a room with 2 double beds. Is that correct? Thanks!
I do see where it says "Twin" I am not concerned, I've been in 3 different sections in our 4 trips, never a bad room or location (even liked the rooms above Paty-O's) It is the non-ocean view room that all sites sell as the lowest price room. As long as channel 12 comes in clear we will make it work:aktion031:
