We've paid as little as 120 pn back when it was Blue Bay to 350 pn but it doesn't matter how much we always come back. Go try those other places and be sure to post your experiences! The secret has gotten out on Temptations so the price goes up but we're not quiters. See ya there 3/4 -3/10!

Watched for over a month (the day we had the talk about going to vaca and same day planing of how to do the impossible (vacation without our 4 year old mommy's boy) any ways long story short checked every single day different timing, made a long ass chart of the timing and pricing and days plus the arriving day and the departure day...we figured march is when we could go called my parents make sure when they would be back from there vacation :aktion047: and then checking disappointingly online...found a great deal one night at Orbitz call in got better deal than the online one... and right before booking j(after giving my credit card info) my 6th sense kicked in and asked is this in US or Canadian shes like its in US I am like WO WO WO stop right there you know I am in Canada and you did not mention all this time that its in canadian dollar and the hope crashed again...although after few days found another sorta good deal on expedia.CA, called got way better deal in Canadian dollar

Package booking cost: C$2,841.20 Taxes & service fees: C$312.44 Package total: C$3,153.6

i think we did not too bad for 10 days with direct flight to CuN and 1 3 hour stop back in Newwark gets us there at 11 am and brings us back home at 10pm

They were the cheapest this year for Canadians, every year it seams to be some one new, last year it was Expedia.

    Using TripCentral.ca

    Dates April18/25

    Temptation price $290@ night
    Dreams Cancun 5 * resort $285 @ night

    Example #2

    Date April 25th 7 nights

    Temptations $270 @ night
    Rio Palace 5 * resort $272 @ night

These are in CDN dollars searched 02/14

So you can get a 5 star resort for cheaper or about the same price

For us, TTR is a 5* resort when it comes to fun and atmosphere, and in the end, that's more important to us.

Maybe for next year's trip, if GOV is up to standard, we can see some pricing relief at TTR.

Its all being driven by Easter and airfare prices related. It will be more reasonable again next year I am sure

You need to ditch April! Our whole trip, for my wife and myself for ten days, and including airfare from MI was just under $3000 and included trip insurance.
OTOH I would rather pay the extra $20 rather than be bored of my azz at Rio.

Aiming for may 10 to 17:

    Checking dates with baby-sitters: Check!
Getting a week off (on our time) at work: Check!
Convincing friends to come over with us (first timers!): Check!
    Checking prices online: OMG!

Prices are 3050 CAN$... that's 200$ more than what we paid for Jaccuzzi room in October. Ouch.

We have said many time that we would go to TTR even if the prices were at a 5* level... we are being tested!

Please tell us that the may crowd is the best there is !!

I like to think the May crowd is the best :) But I also know the TTR
crowd as whole is the best regardless of the month. May is a good go for sure.
