We were virgins and I didnt bring anything. I really wish I had of. I was concerned of revealing too much. Then by the 2nd day I was wearing nothing but my bikini bottoms and realized anything else was less revealing!!! LOL So bring a couple of things you would NEVER wear. (just in case...)
Don't worry about this. Haven't really sat in a chair for very long in the 4 weeks of holidays at TTR we have had in the last year+. Just jump in & get wet. That is where the fun is. We just ditch our towels and bag under a table between the chairs or under the head end and visit with the folks who are lounging there. Most times the chairs are empty. Poolside chairs are critical at boring resorts but at TTR for many people they are mostly the equivalent of a storage locker that gets used occasionally and temporarily used to fetch a cover up for lunch or to get more suntan lotion.
Just reiterating jandp's post. What looks scandalous to you before TTR will look totally lame to you after a day at TTR--take something that makes you think, "I wouldn't wear that in a million years!" and see what happens! If you don't want to deal with the timeshare people at all, tell them this is your second visit to the hotel and you already went on the tour. I'm pretty sure there's a law in Mexico that they can't bother if you if you've already been. (And you don't need a tour--the resort's small enough you'll find everything easily on your own.) Just in case, though, unplug the phone when you get to the room or it might ring early every morning. If they take you to a room with a funky bathroom--no door, window to the toilet--just ask the bell hop to take you to a different room. (Unless...well...your business...:aktion014
I totally agree with this comment! I am looking on sites now for outfits that I didn't think I'd wear "in a million years"! Andrew was laughing at me the other day, I was going through the closet deciding on what to bring for our next trip in Sept or Oct. saying "well that dress is not coming next time, it's not revealing enough!" TTR brings out something in you that you never knew was there!!!
These are all great replies, thanks everyone! I knew about the timeshare pitch, just forgot to list it.
