It is those that seem to disapprove who are the first people to ask for all the details upon your return. The truth be told, they are probably just living vicariously through you and wishing that is was them that were there. With that being said, we do use BBG when someone we don't know all that well asks where we are going, but we give our parents the contact info for the resort in case of emergencies. Her Parents joke about it and mine just don't ask any questions.
Yes, very good point you bring up about Verizon and the Mexico plan. We called and added Mexico to our plan the day before we left and then called and dropped it after we returned and our pro-rated cost was about $10 for the whole trip. Then you can just tell family to call you directly with no issues about trying to give them a hotel to call....of course phone stays in room and only checked once during night.
Telling friends and family is no issue for us. Our friends know how we are. Hell, that's why they hang around us. Lol. And our parents? Well they raised us. Where do u think we get it from? Lmao . But work? That's another story. I say Live Aqua and don't hear anything more about it.
We always end up having to explain to one or the other of our friends that "No, we're not swingers." And, I almost always enjoy sticking a needle into those same friends and say, "But, we met some. They were very nice people, you'd like them." I agree with poster above who said the thing about those friends who don't approve being the ones who most want to hear the stories, then just shake their heads, when you can tell they were started to get worked up a bit, "I couldn't do that, I just couldn't." Ah well, if they could convince themselves that "Yes, they can,." they'd be much happier people.
Exactly! Because kidnapping and murder don't ever happen here.... *READS JUST ONE OR TWO WEEKS OF US NEWS* Er...*GRIN* Our relatives have learned to not ask questions they don't want detailed and frank answers to...At this point, they are almost scared to ask anything about any trip we go on! Lars and Judy
Just a hug?!? Definitely looking forward to partying with the whole group we have started to assemble. This trip will be EPIC! (As I gather most TTR trips are!)
Most everyone is very respectful as far as taking pics and only take pics of people they know and are posing so I wouldn't be too concerned about it.Taking random pics is not tolerated and security will quickly say something to anyone doing this.
We always told people we were staying at the Oasis. With my very carefully guarded reputation it is not worth it. I never do anything in public that has a possibility of embarrassing my employer. At TTR I can let loose, have some real fun and not think about real life for a week. Maybe I overly cautious but it is those uptight folks who hold the keys to my food, clothing and shelter. Never mind my plane tickets. I'm just not comfortable sharing my wild side with the rest of the world bit am glad that some people are
I have heard of a few cameras "accidently" finding their way to the bottom of the pool for taking the wrong pictures.
