Hate to sound like a picky ass but we booked elsewhere just for the simple reason that is was so unclear about if water and a fridge were provided... Seems like it would be mandatory for a resort in a tropical climate and questionable tap water to just eliminate the question and have a fridge in every room...... Hopefully next year....:banghead:
Tap water at TTR was "purified" and everyone who had a sip got "revenge". I recommend sticking to the beer and bottled. Refill your bottled water at the station and the bar. Word of caution where I failed...Dont drink the water in the shower either. Sounds obvious, however when wasted after a hot day or 4 in the sun its somewhat instinct to open your mouth in the shower....then its got you.
Ask for one..they'll bring a fridge to your room I've stayed there 3x previously - think a couple times there was no fridge in our room but all I had to do was ask and they brought one. Usually if you ask nicely for anything they will do their best to accommodate you. Complain and be nasty and you really do get it back in spades - you're on vacation - keep a smile on your face and just enjoy your stay and things will be fine. If you're expecting perfection, you're going to be sadly disappointed - remember this is not a 5-star resort - you need to pay triple and stay at LeBlanc or someplace if you want that level of service/amenities. Personally I'd pass up a 5-star resort that was boring for a 3- or 4-star exciting, fun party place. but that being said, I agree...every AI hotel room should have at least a mini-fridge and free bottled water/sodas/canned beer stocked every day.
yeah a lot of us forgot about rinsing our toothbrush under the tap water before brushing (like we do back home) ...WARNING: do NOT do this in Mexico!
