Is it just me or has anyone else been suffering from a slowing down of the forum, waiting a while for a page to refresh ( sometimes so long that the ' This Page Is No Longer Available ' screen appears and the delayed reciept of emails advising of post updates?

I dont seem to get this with other sites and it's only started since the server switch over last week

    Cheers

You are not alone Ian. I have been having the same problems. For a while I wasn't getting email notifications at all. I'm getting them now but they are delayed.

I have noticed a slow down on occasion, but only rarely.

Strange thing is the overall connect times are faster than the previous server (see graph below), of course this is just an average over the day so actual times experienced will deviate from the average, sometimes slower, sometimes faster. The first full day on the new server was 26 March:

Re emails, I havent noticed any slowness in delivery and all my regular cancuncare email is going through this server, not just board related stuff.

However, I have noticed a bigger problem with deliverability i.e. emails more likely to be triggered as spam than before. This seems to be especially the case with aol and free email addresses like yahoo and hotmail. I'll look into this with the technical support guys and see if it can be improved.

Some server settings have just been changed to improve email deliverability to AOL, Yahoo and Hotmail addresses. Might take a day or two to kick in for their filters to recognise the emails as "not spam" but hopefully should improve things.

Brilliant ( or not, depends where your stood ) not just me then. I actually use yahoo as its provided through my isp (BT ) although its not free so hopefully should see some improvement soon.

    Cheers Steve.
