If food is a major factor - Temptations sucks in that department. We don't eat seafood and not really interested in fancy food so there is a limited number of things we can eat there. Thankfully - Paty'Os has a great hamberger and they do have some meals we really liked. After a week it starts to get to much the same thing for us. Nevertheless, we didn't come to Temptations for the food! :lotsofmichaelfs:
Well................the food at TTR is good.....not great.......not horrible.........you can get good food at every meal. The Italian is our FAVORITE........yet the buffet has some exellent options given the night. With all of that said.........the seafood restaurant is fucking HORRID! Last year after one bite we walked out!
Been to Desire 3 times... Desire pearl once.... temptations in cabo...long time ago...and TTR like 10 or 11 times.....one year 3 times!! anyway we don't eat seafood, fish...anything that comes out of the water....don't ask why.. but we love the breakfast at TTR.... rosa makes an awesome omelet! There is always something we find we like... usually about every 3rd night we go out front and catch a city bus for a dollar each and head down to chilies or long horn...Mcdonalds even!!! hope that helps!! m/j
This is our 5th trip... We are not super picky eaters, but it is general buffet food... we usually do the make your own omelet for breakfast with fruit, yogurt, juice, etc...lunch depends on where we may be at the time Margheritas always has great options.. and great wait staff!! For dinner we generally choose one of the restaurant...our faves are the Steak/Seafood and the Asian ... we generally stay for 10 days, so I get what people say about possibly "changing it up a bit" .... but in reality, we never go away hungry, and some of the theme nights held in the buffet area have been okay and we have been known to take a plate to our room for later! Paty O's burgers and fries are the BEST after a night of partying! Maybe it's the alcohol talking, but who doesn't like a late night snack???? It would be nice to have more options there... like deep fried zucchini... Onion rings...!!!! That late night stuff we all crave!! But I'm not complaining...Never had a bad time at TTR !!
My wife and I are very picky about food. Desire food was awesome when we were there. TTR food over the years has been anywhere from good to excellent. Never had bad food except for that one time in the seafood restaurant.
We were overall very happy with the food at Temptation. There were a lot of great choices and the atmosphere in the restaurants was also wonderful, which we really appreciated. When we dine out around home we generally only frequent higher end fancy places that most often serve small portions...we're huge into food presentation, even at home, and Temptation did deliver in that regard. We only went to the buffet in for breakfast, never for lunch or dinner. I never ate anything at Paty O's...that I remember anyway, lol. Don't expect the world though, remember, everything is already included in your resort fees so I'd advise all not to expect any sort of 5 star cuisine...if they had that, then it would cost a couple thousand more dollars to stay there and Temptation is NOT about the food. I think people should also keep in mind that they are in a different country. Your food will NOT taste exactly like it does back home...there are people there from all over the world, so imagine trying to please everyone...it's impossible. My girlfriend advises to stay away from the burgers and I always avoid all chicken when I go out to eat anywhere since it's the easiest thing to get sick from if it's not cooked right. My only complaint is that there wasn't more authentic Mexican food, which we're both huge fans of. And of course everyone already knows that the service at Temptation is always stellar, part of the reason people keep going back is the amazing staff, so to all those newbies out there, remember to tip!
I probably eat 20+ fish tacos and and 20+ shrimp tacos while I am there. Oh and like 20 of those ceviche dishes served in the martini glasses. Yea I eat like 80% seafood when I am there, and I never have a complaint. Expecting to get beef like you would in the states is ludicrous.
Cant say that we had a bad meal any time we've been there. We especially love the asian restaurant. After a good party at patyos we usually head back to the room for some taco and hotdog.:69:
Well, TTR might not be the best food we have eating, but speaking for myself, I usually put on 5 to 10 pounds in a week there...lol... got to stop those 4 meals a day ....
