Another vote for the restaurants. Nice food and atmosphere. Never did the buffet but we're not buffet fans tbh.
The best food at a resort for me was the French Island Martinique. Club Med. They think they have fun there...yawn. The best fun is at temptations! We ate at the Italian Restaurant most nights. It is awesome. Just make early reservations so you don't miss anything I am think we slept an average of 2 hours a day!!! Can't wait for April! Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
We love the Aisan the most for dinner as the food' décor and staff were all fantastic (we went 4 times last trip) for lunch we tended to use Margherita's most days as its quick and easy and has the best waiter (Gabriel) ever and serves the usual Salad bar, Mexican, Pizza, Burgers etc. The buffet is ok for breakfast but we found that the lunch and evening food started to all taste the same after a few days. That's our Opinion  Leeroy & Sarah xx
We love the food plain and simple. We have stayed at eight other resorts and TTR is our favorite for food. We do tend to do the a la cartes every night but basically love every thing.
One thing ,, the menus need to be expanded , or put on a 7 day cycle,, when ever your there for more then a week , it does get repeatative. I have learned they will prepare it differently if you ask , with a smile.
Having recently returned from our 3rd trip we found the food to be good as ever with the exception of the buffet in the evening which we have never rated to be fair. Its not 5 star gourmet food but you aint paying 5 star prices. My wife is quite picky & has, shall we say a sensitive tummy but has never had a problem at Temptation.
For background purposes... Been to Desire rm twice, Desire Pearl twice and TTR 6 or so times. Obviously this is very subjective based on taste preferences. But I assume quality matters to you based on the fact you are asking about it And agree with all of the above points that you don't go to TTR for the food. One of the reasons (not primary) we tried Desire is the food options at TTR got old and the quality was disappointing. Breakfast is fine and almost equivalent to desire. But lunch and dinner just don't compare in our opinion. I wouldn't call them bad but I wouldn't call lunch/dinner at Ttr good either. Italian is where we would almost always find ourselves and I don't think the menu has changed since we first went in 2010. Maybe I was too intoxicated to realize but I don't think so. Given all this we would still recommend giving Ttr a try for a couple days and developing your own opinion. The entertainment and party will make you forget about the food.
Its resort food, like most resort food. Its not bad. As good as any. After so many days at any resort, all repetition food gets old. At the ridiculous price of Desire, they better serve 5* food on fine china. After our very first trip to TTR, we quickly found out we would definitely be coming back, but it wasnt because of the food, beach, or 5* surroundings. Been back 5 times.
