I gained 15 pounds last year in 7 days, was fun! not...

They have a grill, and you can get all kids of goodies there, eggs (whites if you choose) and several grilled meats. They always have a fish smothered in sauce, I personally think the sauces and what not are brutal. Not in taste, but in extra un necessary calories.

I think my issue was the consumption of "tom collins" and the powder they use. Sugar and what not. Going to do rum and diet coke this year, see if I can limit the intake.

I normally take in 3817 calories a day, my coach figures with the food at the resort I was closer to 10,000 a day in order to gain that much weight.

I did drop about 8 pounds when I got back, but that was it. I am bigger this year muscle wise, and leaner, but I dont think I will make my 222 from last year, we will see :)

Good luck with your choices, and have fun!

There are plenty of healthy choices along with not-so-good-for-you stuff, it's just the willpower that you need to bring!

Rum and diet is already my drink of choice and if I drink all day, I'll be asleep by 5pm lol

I usually drink vodka & soda at home (when I'm worried about calories). Anyone know what the house vodka is at TTR (or if its any good)? Do the bars have soda?

That's normal at TTR. It's called a "snap" (sex/ nap combo). Then regroup for the evening's shenanigans!

Can't remember what the house vodka is, but they do have smirnoff...so just ask for it by name, say please, smile and tip...everything goes a long way.

Last year we drank vodka, soda and a squirt of Mio or liquid Crystal light. It changes up the flavour so you don't get bored and it keeps the calories down.

It was Smirnoff vodka, Jim Beam bourbon, Gilbey's gin but I really don't remember the rum or tequila?

Pretty bad considering I drank vast quantities of both?

I usually do lemon or lime with my vodka/soda for flavor, but I've done the crystal light thing before too.

How is the tequila on the resort? I've learned the hard way that there's a BIG difference between good tequila (Patron, Agavero) and bad tequila (Jose Cuervo bronze). Which end of the spectrum is the "house" tequila at the resort closer to?
