We don't have a problem with the foam party, I think it was better in the sports pool--it was smaller, not near the bar and if you didn't want to be part of it, you could stay in the sexy pool.
Perhaps people are amped up about the foam parties because Saturdays just tend to be the biggest party day at TTR anyway. We noticed last April that the vibe around the Sexy Pool was different on the weekend days than midweek.
We have always managed to miss the foam parties. Wrong dates, not feeling well. We'll still try one before passing judgement because everyone we talked to said they were great.
Your recollection of the other foam parties is exactly what it's like at TTR. If you've never done a foam party, it's new and cool, exciting. If it's your third time, you move around a bit more, keep a hand over the top of your drink, and steer clear of grabby types, both male and female, LOL!
We've done 3 foam parties in the old sports pool. Epic! (interpret as you see fit ) The one we've experienced in the new sexy pool was mehhh. Wind direction/speed have a big effect on the foam (think duration and thickness.... feel free to giggle) and when things don't last, well, you know that's not going to put a smile on the ladies.
Having never attended a pool-based foam party before, my wife and I where pleasantly surprised during the foam party on our last TTR trip. Prior to the foam party, we hadn’t actually ventured into the sexy pool, and were actually somewhat reserved when speaking with others while poolside. However, after the foam party, my wife and I got over our shyness and were very excited to hang out in the sexy pool to socialize with others - this is how we made friends with a few couples that we’ve kept in touch with since then. That’s said, we didn’t have issues with burning eyes or breathing. Definitely can’t hurt participating once to form your own conclusions.
