I do recommend that you maybe split your cash between you just in case you lose a bag or anything.

We usually put the $20's in Boy's wallet along with enough tip money for the airport.

All the $5-10's go in Girl's purse.

The rest of the $1's go in the carry on.

This way it's distributed out just in case. It's probably not a big deal going to Cancun but when we went to Brazil it was recommended to minimize losses in case of a hold up.

Just don't label your envelopes "drug money" "hookers" "explosives" "bribes" etc. That could cause issues at security. Other than that, you will be fine up to $10K US. Carry it with you. DO NOT PUT IT IN CHECKED LUGGAGE! You will never see it again!

If anyone asks about all the $1s, tell them it's for titty bars. Much more believable than tips.

We always take stacks of 2 dollar bills. There are benefits...They take up half as much wallet space, the Mexican workers like them 2 times better, sometimes they think the 2 dollar bill is lucky and they are extra happy. (look it up on the interweb, it must be true) Plus its fun handing out Jeffersons. Hand the bartender a stack of two's, it's just cooler than ones.

Of course the Mexico 20 is probably a little cheaper tip than a 2 dollar bill and bonus, its waterproof and they don't have to exchange it.

I've always carried my tip cash in my carry on bag. Never had an issue at IAH.

    Clean bills

I see.. I have confused it with Hedonism II - no tipping is in their rules.
Collecting now clean bills for tipping - they are getting harder to find :)

We missed you guys, too, Lucinda. We had some pressing medical issues to clear up with Tab that took priority. We are headed down for Halloween, this year, though...and I've already booked for next June!

Where are you getting these $2 bills? I know they exist, but I didn't think they are really in circulation anymore. I hadn't seen one if 5+ years until someone had a few at TTR in May.
