Not an easy question to answer especially if you want cheap. Another option I have used is Martinair to Amsterdam and then a flight to the UK. One year I did do the Aireuropa to Madrid, to Paris and then to the UK. Direct is difficult for those of us who don't live there--well, unless you want to pay a lot. BA is starting a new flight to Cancun in November but I think I saw that mentioned here. greetings from Lucerne.
Cheers for the advice guys, going to speak to the other half tomorrow but I fear she had online tickets with a ref number so may have problems with Thomson?. the best we have found so far is about £550 via Sky Scanner, but in the past I have always found there prices far form the cheapest. Non direct is not really a problem as we are on a budget
Take jetairfly to brussels then the Eurostar to St Pancras. I used to use them all the time. These days I do Interjet to DF, then KLM to AMS. Cheap tickets :: Jetairfly.com : boekings-engine Cheapest I can see there right now is 280 Euros on Friday 10 Sep. (Bonus stopover in Liberia!) If that date doesn't suit, keep watching because if someone cancels, a fare at a lower rate may show up for the date you want. Anything beats the anal probe at US immigration.
Best we have found so far is from the Thomson Office offering £400 is we book only 2 weeks before. (one way)
Was that reliant on you having an unused ticket? If it was did they mention how old the ticket has to be before they wont honour it?
No, they didn't mention a return ticket, the only catch was it had to be booked 2 weeks in advanced max. She did say about £400 based on what the flights are going for at the moment. The number of the office is 0052998881750. Hope this helps.
Thanks mate, will bear it in mind for the next trip home. Wont be until next year though since Jannet is pregnant, and I cant bear to go back when it's not summer.
