I would definitely pack enough clothes for your first two or three days in your carryon. I find whenever I have a layover in the States, my bags get to me a day later.

It's not really complicated just a PITA - lol

btw - for your dates AC for 2 people have direct flights both ways for a total of $1303.32 CAD - actually not too bad...

Check AC and their partner airlines - ie USA stop on the way down and a direct flight back - might be close to the price that you had

Also did you check WestJet for direct flights ??

Have done it , and will never do it again.

Had to pick up and recheck luggage/ immigration,customs... and run.

worth at least an extra 200 to fly Canadian all the way

if not I would like at least 2.5 hour lay over,
rather relax and have a beer ,then run.

Those are actually our dates from last year! I'm looking at April 23 to May 3 this year. It's just over $1000 for those dates (with the layover in Montreal on the way home). I've looked at all the airlines including in Buffalo. I'm still playing with days too. It's early though, so who knows!

well we will probably see you there we are going April 30-May 14. Last time I Checked Sunquest was the cheapest for a complete packages and direct flights. also check Sunwing for direct flights. We will book in the new year.

We got a great deal last year with Sunquest, but this year it's about $1300 more. I found much better deals booking flight and hotel separately.

Umm. We just booked. Holy crap! I was looking for flights on Expedia again and it showed a deal after I went through it. "Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed, Jetted Tub - Canada Special". $3250 for flight and hotel! :headbanger:

    canadian travellers

you cant beat booking a all inclusive hotel, flight , transfers to & from resort with a travel agency like Selloff , Signature , Sunwing that gets you to Mexico direct with no US customs , no layovers in airports , possible missed connections , luggage on & take off / recheck , wasted first & last day of travel etc etc ... you mite save a bit of $$ piecing your own package together but as you read postings from others can become a nightmare & alot of work ... just my previous experience trying to save a buck
