I really liked "The Departed" also. I'd give it two thumbs up. Never got around to seeing the other movie. Just didn't seem like something I'd like.
My thoughts exactly. Must see movies from him in my mind are ones like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas or Raging Bull. The Departed was a pretty damn good movie, but I also think it had some flaws. And Marky Mark up for an Oscar for best supporting actor???
I agree Dennis. Leo was awesome, and even though I usually don't like him, I thought Matt Damon did a good job with a role that is usually out of his element. And of course, jack was jack.
Departed is not Scorcese's best but with a back catolog like his:that's still a compliment;still one of the movies of last year.But my overall favourite is "Pan's Labyrinth"...It's a visual feast...check it out but be prepared to suspend reality in the process. How it didn't win Best Foreign Language Film is beyond me...
