No, it's not allowed. Here in Detroit, most Red Wings fans are fair weather, obnoxious, and arrogant. Fortunately I grew up in Rochester, NY and I also spent 5 years in Buffalo before relocating to Michigan. So, I'm exempt from Red Wing mania dysfunctional syndrome. I see the Sabres are playing the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight so we gotta keep the win streak going to 5 games ! :xyxthumbs:
Twinimini I have 4 nieces, 1 has graduated the other 3 are still going to BG. Wow Zachman a little hostilities toward Red Wing fans! I don't think I fall into your discription. I loved the Wings before Yzerman even played so I seen some crap years. But being a Buffalo fan you can understand that.
Big Joe, my rant applies only towards the recent know-nothing, fair- weather, Red Wing fan that I've seen while living here in Metro-Detroit. As proof, Joe Louis now actually has many empty seats during home games! Yep, the Sabres are playing very well. Even Red Wings fans have to feel a little bit good about the Sabres with most of the credit going to the kid from Michigan State. Miller has been outstanding. He didn't have a great game last night, but he has been more than solid. I know what you mean about the fair weather fans. It wasn't that long ago that the Wings were really, really bad. They still have a helluva a team and I think they'll still be a factor. BTW Zack, we have to put up with Leaf fans here when they come to town. They are usually too drunk to notice that their team is pretty bad, although they have been playing better lately.
Its funny even though the Wings and Toronto really isn't a rivalry any more. I still can't stand them! But yes I don't mind Buffalo and glad to see Miller playing well. Really glad that Jimmy Howard is playing well. With the team were playing with we need solid goaltending. I hope when we get some players back we can get a winning streak going. Yes Zachman I understand what your talking about the band wagon jumpers. Right know there are alot of people jumping of the wagon! But good or bad I stick with the Wings.
Jimmy showed some definite jitters at the beginning of the season but he's steadily turning into an NHL goalie. It's good to see. Despite the fact that my brother is a Wings fan and I cannot stand the Wings, I still root for Jimmy and I have no idea why haha. Meanwhile, my Pens win one, lose five, its ridiculous.
I see Howard is an Upstate NY boy (Ogdensburg) so he's got to be a good guy! A lot will be able to be told about how good the Sabres are after these next couple of weeks they are on the road a lot and including a West Coast swing where they traditionally swoon. So far it is a fun season and I just hope it continues.
