Well, the Stanley Cup made it to PNC Park today. Maybe that will give the Pirates a boost to make it to...and win the World Series. You never know !!
I should have went to the baseball game today Yesterday the CUP was at a Starbucks, and people were drinking coffee out of it
Congrats Pens fans, I stand before you humbled. I couldnt believe how flat the Wings looked through the first 2 and a half periods. Sure was an exciting final 7 minutes though. The Pens kinda went into a defensive shell at the end and that is always nail bitin scary. I know the Wild did it all year. Now next year I hope to see 2 different teams make the finals. And the team I am most hopeful for is the Minnesota Wild. Congrat Fletch and we will continue this next year.
Have any of you touched the Cup yet?? A few years back a player from MN brought the Cup home for "his day with the Cup" and I actually got to hold it. Got a good pic too but its a polaroid. Watch for where it will be and get yourselves a pic with the Cup. That made the hair on the back of my neck and arms stand!!
haha I'm looking forward to the continuous banter As for touching the cup...I haven't yet, but it will be making its round nearby in the coming days. Hall Gil is from MA and Rob Scuderi is from NY, so hopefully I'll get to chase after it and hopefully get a chance to get close to it!!
I've never touched the cup. However, when I first moved to Metro Detroit I met a girl who boldly bragged that she 'kissed the cup' (she was a so-called Red Wings Fan). From the beginning I had a sense that she was a typical fair weather, band wagon, Red Wings fan and she really had no knowledge of the game of hockey what-so-ever. So… I had to ask her: Was it "THE Stanley Cup" or an Athletic Cup (i.e. jockstrap) that she kissed? Obviously, she had NO IDEA what I was talking about !!
