I cant take another year of them winning and my brother gloating, especially if its at our expense again!! I'm not worried though, we're playing better than anyone in the playoffs right now....we'll be juuuuuuuust fine!
NHL Eastern Conference Final Saturday, May 16, 2009 By Shelly Anderson, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Associated Press Jordan 20, and Eric, 24, are two of four hockey-playing Staal brothers, including Marc, 22, who plays for the New York Rangers, and Jared, 18, a Phoenix Coyotes draft pick.So far as anyone can tell, there is no truth to the rumor that should the Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes reach Game 7 in the upcoming Eastern Conference final and should that game reach some ridiculous number of overtimes, eventually the teams will send out only Jordan and Eric Staal with two pillows at center ice. "I'd put him in a headlock like I did in the commercial," older brother Eric of Carolina said yesterday, recalling an NHL spot a couple of years ago in which feathers flew between him and Jordan of the Penguins. That was art closely imitating life. In this series -- Game 1 is Monday night at Mellon Arena -- life will be imitating life. There are four Staal brothers from Thunder Bay, Ontario. Eric, 24, and Jordan, 20, are centers. Eric won the Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes in 2006. Jordan and the Penguins reached the Stanley Cup final last year, beating defenseman Marc, 22, and the New York Rangers in the second round. Jared, 18, is a winger and Phoenix draft pick who got his first shot at minor league pro hockey late in the season. The four, all taller than 6 feet, grew up competing in hockey and other sports as hard as you might expect. None of those contests, however, compare with Eric and Jordan facing off in a series that will send one back to the Stanley Cup final.
and awayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy we go!!! We are T-Minus 19 hours from the start of game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals vs Carolina....LETS GO PENS! LETS GO PENS! LETS GO PENS!
