Gee Thanks Pens.... Now the flood gates have again opened wide here in Michigan with fair-weather Red Wings fans jumping on the band wagon. Arggggggh !!!!
try living near NYC.... bandwagon Red Sox and Yankees fans everywhere you look. Unfortunately, when the Wings win, the 'fans' burn down the city....
The riot is planned to occur after the parade on Friday. Additionally, City of Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick has arranged that riot perpetrators will officially only come from the suburbs
no such thing. if you are a Mets fan, you are a real fan. those morons that booed Johan during his first home start are probably the same window lickers that booed mariano rivera at yankee stadium.
Just found out that my youngest nephew Alex (age 13) got # 27 Georges Laraque's hockey stick at Game 1 in Detroit. ************** Game 6 : Alex got a puck from one of the Penguins. Threw it up in the stands to him. I forget which player it was. After the game, my 3 nephews and Michael's (15 yr old nephew who's playing hockey in Detroit) hockey coach Craig got to go onto the ice for the Stanley Cup award ceremony. The boys were thrilled ! Craig is part of the Red Wing organization. After that, I left the rink cuz I had a long drive home. Then Craig was trying to get them into the locker room but because of security, etc, only Craig and Michael were allowed in. Michael got to touch the Stanley Cup and meet the players. The other 2 boys didn't get to go into the locker room, but they were allowed to go into the hallway leading to the locker room, where a lot of Red Wings family and friends were at. Pretty cool !!!
gotta say I LOVE Chicago, young talent everywhere in that organization. Might start to make moves this season, but another year or 2 and expect to see them deep into the playoffs
