Thank you. I'm thinking about locking this thread now too... Kidding, and let's say house hunting was no better. General Question - Not Hockey related, but fits in the FFA forum: - Why do people in Oakville insist on renovating basements just to have finished basements with small rooms? Almost every house I saw had a finished basement with 3 small bedrooms, small kitchen and small living area to rent out. Where does one look if they don't want strangers living in their basement and also want either unfinished or big ass rooms in the basement? - Why do sellers call it an upgraded basement and keep pushing it as a premium with a premium price even after I've mentioned 3 or 4 times in a 30 minute visit that the first thing I'll have to do is gut the whole basement? Note to sellers: Once a buyer uses the term GUT, move on to the next feature asap.
Waste I think you know who I work for, my job from Nov of 04 to May of 07 was installation inspections throughout the penninsula from Winston Churchill Blvd to Fort Erie and up into Halton and Fergus/Elora. You said Milton was an option for you, were I you I would strongly consider Georgetown around the Argyll area of town. Nice homes only about 10 years old, decent sized lots, close to Toronto, Go Transit in town. It is nothing like Okaville or Milton, in those two towns you are just paying to say you live there.
Thanks for the info. I will look into Georgetown. Milton is out. More driveway than lawn doesn't work for me. Oakville was rough. Couldn't find a house I liked on a decent lot and couldn't find a lot a liked with a decent house. I was shown brochures for a few houses in Port Credit. Will be looking there next Friday. Maybe Georgetown on Saturday.
