Our friends joined against our better judgment for a price I won't disclose but it was a lot and this year told they had to wait till August to make reservations for this Halloween because they were told that's just how it is. So we got our reservations for Halloween like we always do and guess what, they can't come because yeah you guessed it, Temptation was all full up for Halloween. After they waited to get a room in August like they were told to do. All they get now when they call is a run around by people pretending they can't speak English. They've been totally ripped off! I know my friends don't lie and if I could figure a way to get them in and stay with us I would. It doesn't matter how much you paid, if you can't get a room when you like you got ripped off. We been coming since Blue Bays days and always say no and I feel like we let our friends down for not forcefully telling them not to join. And if the staff ask me this time at Halloween I am personally going to take my friends contract and their experiences straight to the Big Man and he better get on the phone to my friends while I'm watching and make things right. The me no savvy BS is going to stop ! I'm really pissed about the bad treatment my friends have gotten. This my favorite resort. They better make this right. I'm just saying and that's all I'm saying until I get there.
WE HAVE BEEN 29 TIMES IN 12 YEARS (30 IS NEXT MONTH) HAVE NEVER GONE TO TIME SHARE MEETINGS AND NEVER WILL .WE ARE BASIC PEOPLE DONT NEED EXTRAS JUST THE GREAT PEOPLE. THAT SAID WE HAVE MADE BEST FRIENDS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD THANKS TO TTR!!!!
That is awesome and may be the right approach. We were really caught off guard originally and in all fairness we could have bailed out at any time but we battled through it till the end. It was our first time so we just weren't ready but like you we met a lot of great people.
RE the O/P, my experience with obtaining my premier membership for Stacia & I was very similar, the only additional variable that I had figured into my calc was the RCI/SFX benefit, i.e. the massive savings for exchanging weeks to go places OTHER than TTR/DRM/DP. That's what upped the value for us. Good review. Personally, I'm very, very glad that Stacia & I skipped the soft open. We'll be down after the official grand re-opening stuff... Oct. 28!
Some don't want to figure the RCI portion into the deal saying they won't use it. But, it was definitely a plus for us because my kids and other family can use it if We don't. Several has asked us to post our final and I have PM'd it and will be happy to do so, I have to say our Premier Membership will be good for us cause we will use it. Just st really dislike the approach.
