The idea of being sent to another hotel is scaring the crap out of us. Has anyone ever tried calling prior to arrival. I'm going to send an email to the hotel expressing our concern about over booking and see what happens.
Ok Jamie, Now they have to let me in. Ok, this is the response I got from my travel agent about over booking. Hope she's right. "As for people being moved out of the resort, I don't know where you are reading, nor does it matter. All hotels tend to overbook at times unfortunately and are forced to move people out usually to a better quality resort and or compensate clients handsomely. It's funny how you never read about that though? We have yet to be moved out of the resort this season so honestly I am not concerned and it is nothing that we can do about it. At the time that you are traveling though is not high season and the likelihood of you being moved to a different property are slim to none. I would ignore what you have read altogether and not even give it a second thought."
We were there last year and were offered (asked) if we wanted to go to Desire for our last 3 day... they slipped a note under our door for an upgrade and we couldnt get to the front desk fast enough to comfirm, by the time we got there they had filled the quota... we are going for 2 weeks in April... and we hope to get asked again.. lol also the last time we went to Desire we had to stay at another hotel the first night.. it was late when we arrived and we didnt really care.. there were their to pick us up by 10 am .. our room was ready and the party was on...
