Great trip report. Definitely do not talk to the people inside the airport. Getting the map from the lady handing it out as you walk out of the airport is ok. Your transfer will be outside with signs and will take you to your bus/car. To know when you need to be picked up....your transfer company will tell you that you need to meet the rep outside of the alternative bar at a certain time on that first day. They want you to come in on the first day to try to sell you day trips, etc. If you plan on going on touristy stuff...it may be worth it to go there or you can talk to Sergio at the towel hut for other trips. (I think). We go down the day or 2 before we have to leave and they will tell you what time they will pick you up. We use the company Steve uses on this site--great company--you should be last to be picked up if you are in a shared transfer so you get all the time you can on the last day at the resort. It is always a sad day when they cut your wrist band off and you have to go back to reality!!:icon_confused:
We had free xfers with someone other than USA on our first 2 trips and had to go down to the sales office to find out what time we were getting picked up. With USA this time we had a voucher with pickup times before we ever left Chicago for both trips, so no need to talk to the salespeople. One more reason to use USA.
Just wondering what the daytime activities and games were like? Have not heard for sure if they still play tequila and/or Repeater VB, etc. or have they tamed down the games since Chinos left?
The games have not been toned down. Feb 23-Mar 1st the pool felt just as wild and fun as always. Sara et al are doing a great job.
That would be great if you wouldn't mind showing us. Not saying we'll remember being completely drunk and all. we can talk about it on the boob cruise too. We booked through the resort with Transbeach(shared coach transport). Just dont wanna miss the flight home and don't wanna have to be at the airport at 4am either.
