Temptations is one of the places I've been going being plus size. I've been during weight loss, pregnant, and at my biggest after the baby. Lol Everyone is friendly nonjudgmental. I've lost 50 lbs since last year. Not bikini ready. But confidence ready. Lol you will enjoy yourself and meet great people. As we have for the last 6 years.

We are newbies as well going June 15-22! Can't wait! I'm no little girl either, 5'5 and 175 lbs (I'm running everyday to tone it all up but just a bigger girl :) ) . I am pretty self conscious but my husband is very encouraging & everyone on here has been so super sweet! Gonna be sporting some very tiny bikinis & dresses lol! May not allow any pics but plan to have a blast :)
Just enjoy yourself & be proud girl!!!

Just curious.... Question for all the regulars on here. How many suits do your ladies own? Its kind of a problem at our house. The number was north of 100 when we last culled the collection. I am kind of embarrassed to admit, I bought 95% of them.

I would like to think I am an expert on the subject of what suit would fit and make any body type look their best. What the wearer would be most comfortable in, would be up to them. I would suggest judging the reaction of your husband before deciding that a suit is out of the question. Along those same lines, sometimes a little more coverage (Brazilian, Cheeky, Scrunch Butt) better frames your best assets. Butt, its all personal preference and so much fun trying them all on for those mini fashion shows!

Chica Rica swimwear is a good place to start your collection. They have seperates that will fit a smalls to DD's. Not the best quality for sure, but not a bad place to start. The Jelly collection(solid colors) is a good place to start for size and fit. Some local swimwear shops will stock these as well. Search Chica Rica on Yandy or American Bikini Shop
Chica Rica also makes the lace edge scrunch suits and a lot of other patterned suits that you can add to your collection once you know you size/fit.

Victorias Secret must have finally gotten one of my dozens of letters to them :)
This years collection has some very sexy less than moderate coverage bottoms. The Itsy Bottom would look very good on a size Large or even XL. They now have a tie side option too. The tie side would allow you to get a size smaller (less coverage) and still have a smooth waist band line.

Like a lot of others here, we have also purchased a large number of suits from Ebay. These days I tend to stay away from stuff shipped from china. The quality is really not there. Its almost like disposable clothing.
Now, where ebay can be very helpful, is when you find a brand and size you like, keep your eyes open for it on ebay. A lot of times you can find samples, old stock or returns there for very reasonable prices.

Other mid priced high quality options would include brands like Body Glove (their Brasilia bottoms are awsome and they do sell thong bottoms) Kandy Wrappers (Curly Sue Bottoms) and Biquini Brasil. Biquini Brasil have everything from full bottom to Micro Strings. I have ordered some from the UK store and the US dealers.

Once you move up from here, the pricing starts to get a bit more serious. The premium suits from folks like Wicked Weasel, Malibu Strings and Beach Bunny tend to be around $120 each for a set.

I will say they cost that much for 2 reasons. 1. They are good quality. 2. They are sexy as hell and they know we will pay that much.
Some advice here. KNOW the return policy. Buying a $130+ bikini hurts enough, buying one that doesn't fit and can't be returned hurts a lot more.

When in doubt from one size to the next, buy a couple pairs of panties in a similar design from the company. They are normally much less money and it gives you a chance to get to know the size and design before you plunk down the big money for the whole suit.

Happy shopping and don't forget to include your husband.... They are really for him anyway!
