oh one other thing. I'm coming from New Jersey.... where it is FREEZING! We save money by driving to the baltimore train station. We have to spend a bit of time outside packing the luggage into the car before we leave..... and then upon arrival, we have to unload the luggage, buy train tickets, and then wait for the train. Usually it is sooooo cold that I am thankful I pack a slightly heavier outfit. Even if it is a short sleeve/capri sweat outfit.

My toes are always freezing so I've learned to wear closed toed shoes.

My secret is... even if i wear a heavy outfit... I have the skimpiest outfit and sandals waiting in my carry on. At some point during your flight you will literally feel the difference in temperature in the cabin once you get close. You can change in the bathroom on the plane if you are tiny..... or I usually change in the bathroom once i get to cancun while I wait for my luggage to turn up on the carousel. The bathrooms at the airport are BEAUTIFUL! I love them. AND they make me look so tan! LOL.

Only issue is that if you do wear a heavy outfit and want to change at the airport.... if you come during peak season(like spring break) sometimes the line is super long at customs. The last few trips we have been blessed and it was no longer than 5 minutes. However in 2004, 2005 it was so packed that people couldn't even come down the escalator. It was jam packed in there with i swear thousands of people. It was so hot that people were just changing right there with whatever they had in their carry on. I have seen a line like that my last few years either by luck or because of the late recession.

I always wear flip flops and capris with a t-shirt and jacket on teh way out but when we leave it is usually below zero- but I do always have a pair of those warm fuzzy socks in my purse that I put on when we get on plane and then again on the way home :) we have 2 weeks and yes I do always over pack because I never know what I want to wear till the day of - what I think looks great before leaving I put on there in the morning and think - oooh what the hell was I thinking........

    Have a great time :)

We will all be leaving 100 degree, humid Atlanta to go to Cancun so we will already be in shorts and tank tops for the plane ride! Ill tell everyone to pack maybe one jacket for the boat, but im thinking in June it'll probably be warm enough to stick to the tiniest clothes we own! =)

The high here in Atlanta over the next few days are in the 60's and 70's...We don't have it nearly as rough as you guys do up North. =(

This weekend in NJ we have a warm front coming so it will be like 60. Today it was like 50 so it was super nice! :)

    I'm jealous!!

SoutherMiss- we are in northeast GA! Headed to Atlanta tomorrow morning to get a room and run in the Hot Chocolate Run at Turner field! Excited for this weather as I was afraid I would be freezing my butt off when we decided to do this.

jealous as we sit here with freezing rain and stuff right now- and very cold this weekend - not below zero but close :(

Hammie you are so lucking to have warm front coming through this weekend I would be out cleaning up the motorcycle and going riding if it was going to be that nice around here, but of course we probably won't see any of that until maybe a day or 2 in March!!!! To funny ususally I am the only one on the plane with warm fuzzy socks but hey if my feet stay warm the rest of me stays warm :)
