I found this site by accident, I was looking for reviews on at that time BBG when I told my husband about this site he thought it was like a cult, until we got to BBG and then he was hooked. This Feb will be our 3rd trip we and we look forward to coming back each time We have such a great time. I have kept in touch with a few people that we meet while there.
Nice thread Sue, or is it Dave Well long story short, myself and Jannet used to visit BBG (as it was then) a couple of times a year when we lived in the UK. Met a ton of great people and wanted to stay in touch once we left the resort. At the time (2002) I was active on a few other Cancun message boards that are long since dead and thought there were a few things they could do better but weren't, so decided to start my own. 7 years later here we still are. I think I must have met personally well over 3000 people from the site - sorry if I dont remember all your names! As for the first people I met before the site was born, that would be JohnC who encouraged me to start the site, Normskid who has since gone AWOL, Karan who's situation changed a little shall we say, and Jamie who I didnt remember I'd met before (we were BBG stretcher bearers a long time ago) until he showed up here a while after the site got started. Really great to hear that people have made lifelong friends through this site, and long may it continue. Gives me one of those warm and fuzzy feelings

CANCUNCARE WE MET STEVE AND HIS WIFE 2 1/2 YEARS AGO ON OUR FIRST BOOZE CRUISE AND WENT ON ANOTHER FEB 08 HOPE HE HAS ONE BETWEEN FEB 13TH AND THE 20TH CAUSE IF HE DOES WE WILL BE ON IT.AND LIKE MOST FOUND THIS SITE AFTER WE WENT TO ANOTHER RESORT IN CANCUN VERY NICE BUT COULDN'T COMPARE TO THE PARTY AT Temptations. Hey Dave- great idea for a post. OK- first time we met a member (actually members) from cancuncare was 4 years ago. We actually printed out the pix from the members who would be there that week. Although trying to figure out who they were from a 5 cm square snapshot was alot more tricky than we thought. We had just gotten there, our room wasn't ready and went to the sexy pool bar to get a drink. Saw the tequila VB game was going on and wandered over there. It was already packed, sat on the grass next to another couple and watched for almost a half hour. Our room was finally ready so did all the check in stuff, threw the bags into the room (ok who unpacks their first day anyway) changed into our bathing suits and went back to the sexy pool. VB game was over, got another drink and waded into the pool. That same couple that we sat next to earlier, saw us again and I think a light bulb went off.. Sherry (last name long forgotten) said "you guys are on cancuncare!"- we said yes, and I said we sat next to you during the VB game, chatted and drank together the rest of the afternoon, meeting more people from this site also as the day went on... The next nite we were standing in line waiting for nice shoes to open up for that evenings activities and all of a sudden there was another couple who recognized us and said "you're kennjoyce from cancun care!-(and I'll call her Sue for now... must have been the alcohol) she actually screamed that, ran over to us and gave us a hug... very cool... have met her and husband one other time at TTR as well. yes this site is so cool for meeting new folks there... makes it so much easier and since then we have met so many fun, great people from this site there. Of course Dave- this site also got alot of us together for our last 2 years group get together there as well... Ken and Joyce
Wow!!!! You give me all more and more The envy to be there!!! your are wonderfull poeple!!! :wink: I discovered this site accidentally(by chance) apres to have to look for a hotel without children for my first travel single..... I would be there from 21 till 28 January and I have very very exite!!!! Just rest has to hope that certain many poeple speak french .... :? I am not very good in English i use a site of translation to communicate here!! I hope well to be made friends at the Temptation! see you byby Annie xxx
