OMG, please, hat have to be off for anyone at dinner. I guess I was raised as wearing a hat at the table is a lack of disrespect for the waiter and everyone around you. Dinner or breakfast for us, hat is a no go.
Comment was all in jest. Has been much debate and hundreds of posts about men wearing baseball caps, shorts, and ragged jesns, etc. to dinner...and backwards caps too! Personally we worry about ourselves and how we dress and no one else. As my son says...” I do what I want”. But we typically dress up for dinner. We all come from different backgrounds, places, social status, finacial ability, etc. It is your vacation but also theirs too. Not meaning to start another shit storm but the “dress code” is not strictly enforced and is negotiable just like everything else at TTR and in MX!
I got sent back cause I was flip flop instead of hells in another resort, but they let a man with flip flop in. We like to wear clean and classy clothes for dinner then go change but thats just us
As a server... we dont care what you're wearing. As long as you dont respond "I'll have iced tea" when we ask how you're doing and act like your compliments on our serving skills supplement your shitty tip. THAT is rude. Treat us like friends and tip 20% or more unless the service (not the food or your drink because we didn't make it) is actually bad. And if something went wrong ortasted bad,dont leave without saying anything and post a bad review. We want the opportunity to fix it and make you happy.
