Yeah I was doing that too. I do actually want people to go to the main site, but obviously only when they choose to, not by accident. I think it's just a question of getting used to it, obviously I have about 4 days head start on everyone else with familiarity but I'm finding I'm not doing it any more.
A problem I am seeing with the menu bar at the top. When you click on a thread where there are new posts, it takes you to the first unread post in that thread. The problem is that the menu is always on top and it seems to cover the first unread post that it takes you to and you have to scroll back up to read it. Any way to fix that?
I can unsticky the menu. I'll put it on the list. I have a few fairly major things to do with redirection of old urls from search engines, getting the old forum working again and making a site map to ensure Google spiders the new site more extensively. Once I've got those done I'll come back to the minor tweaks.
It's pretty much the same format as another forum we use, so shouldn't take too much getting used to.
I've been on the MA site for about 4 years now and I enjoy the feedback stuff there. But, I think you should activate the Alerts to bring folks' attention back to what was... Fedback? Is that the term?
Question - is there still a way to set it up so that when I click on a thread it puts the most recent comments first instead of starting at comment #1? I know before we had the option, and I've tried to see if I could find it, but I'm not having any luck this time. Thanks! Looks great! New page to go with the new TTR.
