Down to 3 weeks! Where's the best place to pick up a bottle of vodka for the room? Duty free or in Cancun?
I think Duty free it the best option, I don't want to go looking for booze once I touch down in Cancun... I was able to grab a couple bottle and bring it on my carry on last time. That way if your luggage gets lost, you are ok for booze.
Maybe it's a Canadian thing, it's in your departure airport, after you've checked your bags, before the waiting area. I've never bought from there, but I think you tell them what flight your on and they send your purchase on the flight. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Out of Vancouver airport last couple times, after passing customs towards your boarding gates there are a number of duty free shops; I picked up Goose & Patron on my way to Vegas and Vodka on my trip to Cancun couple years ago. They know you have to be on a flight to get past security & customs so they didnt even ask for my boarding pass. I put a couple bottles in my carry on and was good to go. This time I fly through Vancouver & out from montreal; I would expect it would be the same thing once you pass customs on in international flight.
